This Privacy Notice does not apply to anonymised information as it cannot be used to identify you.  We do not knowingly or intentionally collect special categories of personal data, also known as “sensitive” personal data.  Please do not submit sensitive personal data about yourself to us. 

Information You Voluntarily Provide

  • Information that you provide when you create an account, make a purchase, or sign up for our e-newsletter, such as your first and last name, email address, phone number, mailing address, company name or business name (if applicable), VAT number (if applicable), and password.

Information Automatically Collected. As you navigate through and interact with our Site, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns. We may analyse this data for trends and statistics, but this information will be in aggregate form only and it will not contain personal information. Information that we may record automatically includes:

Information from Third Parties/Social Media Sites. We maintain accounts with various social media networks. When you visit these social media networks, a variety of data processing operations are triggered. We use your personal data when you visit our profiles on these social media networks, or when you click on the like button on one of our social media advertisements. 

When you visit our profiles, your personal data is not only used by us but also by the social network provider, regardless of whether you have a profile in the social network or not. The individual processing and its scope differ from provider to provider, and they are not completely transparent to us. We will only use your personal data as described in this Privacy Notice or as disclosed to you prior to such processing taking place. Without your personal data, we cannot respond to you or ensure your continued use and enjoyment of our Site.  We process your personal data based on our contractual obligations. 

  2. Ensure the Security of the Service. We are committed to ensuring your safety and continued enjoyment of our Site. To do so, we may process your personal data to help monitor, prevent and detect fraud, enhance security, monitor and verify identity or access, and combat spam or other malware or security risks. By personalising our interactions, you can more easily use our Site because we keep track of your preferences (e.g. your language selection, your time zone, etc.). Marketing.  Subject to the applicable laws, we may use the data we obtain from you, your interactions with FASTSIGNS and the Site to provide you with marketing and promotional communications, to deliver targeted and relevant advertising and marketing to you, to determine the effectiveness of our marketing and promotional campaigns, to better understand you and your preferences, and to position and promote our Services. We process your data for marketing either based on your consent or our legitimate interest to provide you with information about similar services you have purchased from us. 

  6. Conferences and Events. FASTSIGNS may use personal data to communicate with you about our events or our partner events. After the event, FASTSIGNS may contact you about the event and related products and services and may share information about your attendance with your company and our conference sponsors and partners, who act as independent controllers. If a partner or conference sponsor directly requests your personal data at their conference booths or presentations, your personal data will be handled in accordance with their privacy practices. We only disclose your personal data to those who need access to perform their tasks and third parties who have a legitimate purpose for accessing it. Unless described in this Privacy Notice, we do not share, sell, rent, or trade any of your personal data with third parties for their own promotional purposes. We may disclose your personal data as described below.

We use a number of third parties to provide us services necessary to run our business or to assist us with running our business, who processes your personal data for us on our behalf.   • E-Newsletter: We use a third-party service ExactTarget (part of Salesforce Marketing Cloud) to send out our e-newsletter and administer our mailing list. Their privacy policy is available at:

  • Web Developers and Server Log Information: We use third-party servers to host our Site through AMERICANEAGLE.COM HOSTING, the privacy policy of which is available at: Our Site server automatically logs the IP address you use to access our website as well as other information about your visits such as the pages accessed, information requested, the date and time of the request, the source of your access to our website (e.g. the website or URL (link) which referred you to our website), and your browser version and operating system. Our servers and our backup disaster recovery facility are located in multiple locations throughout the United States and, accordingly, your data is transferred outside the EEA. We do not display the identities of all of our service providers publicly by name for security and competitive reasons.   1. Within Our Corporate Organisation. We are a part of a corporate organisation that has many legal entities, business processes, management structures, and technical systems. We may share your personal data within this organisation to provide you with the Services, take actions based on your request, or to provide you with information about other services offered by our parts of our organisation.  

  2. Business Partners. From time to time, we may engage in joint sales or product promotions with selected business partners. If you purchase or specifically express interest in a jointly-offered product, promotion, or service, we may share relevant personal data with those partners in accordance with your advertising/marketing preferences and as permitted by applicable law.  While we do not control our business partners’ use of your personal data, we do take appropriate steps to ensure that they use appropriate safeguards to protect your personal data. Our partners are responsible for managing their own use of the personal data collected in these circumstances, including providing information to you about how they use your personal data.   • We provide information to third parties such as Google LLC collects information through our use of Google Analytics on our website. Google uses this information, including IP addresses and information from cookies for a number of purposes, such as improving its Google Analytics service. However, information is shared with Google on an aggregated and anonymised basis. The security of your personal data is important to us. We follow and require our service providers to maintain appropriate procedural and technological measures, consistent with industry practice that is reasonably designed to protect your personal data from loss, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. We utilise industry-standard SSL technology to allow for the encryption of all franchisee applications submitted on a FASTSIGNS website. However, since no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, we cannot guarantee that loss, misuse, unauthorised acquisition, or alteration of your data will not occur. Please recognise that you play a vital role in protecting your personal data. 

Furthermore, we cannot ensure or warrant the security or confidentiality of the information you transmit to us or receive from us by Internet or wireless connection, including email, phone, or SMS, since we have no way of protecting that information once it leaves and until it reaches us. Please note that our third-party hosting provider collects and stores server logs to ensure network and information technology security and so that the server and website remain uncompromised. This includes analysing log files to help identify and prevent unauthorised access to our network, the distribution of malicious code, denial of service attacks, and other cyber attacks by detecting unusual or suspicious activity. Unless we are investigating suspicious or potential criminal activity, we do not make, nor do we allow our hosting provider to make any attempt to identify you from the information collected via server logs.


We limit our retention of your personal data to as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice.  We will retain and use your personal data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies. While retention requirements vary by jurisdiction, information about our typical retention periods for different aspects of your personal data is described below. As a global organisation, we may transfer your personal data to countries outside the  United Kingdom. When we transfer your personal data to countries outside the United Kingdom, including when we share your information with FASTSIGNS UK offices, we will ensure an adequate level of protection is guaranteed by making sure - where required by law - that at least one of the following appropriate guarantees have been implemented:

Our Services are not intended for anyone under the age of 16 (“children”).  We do not target or knowingly collect personal data from children.  FASTSIGNS recognises the privacy interests of children and we encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children's online activities and interests. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.


“Do Not Track” is a privacy preference that users can set in their web browsers.
